Where is the carnival held?

Along Peel’s East Quay and Peel Promenade from Station Place all the way to the Creg Malin.

Road Closures/Suspended Parking and Reversal of One Way

To allow for a smooth carnival for our residents and visitors, we have applied for the following traffic management arrangements.

General Road Closures

East Quay and Peel Promenade, from Station Place to Marine Parade, will be closed from 10am - 6pm.

No vehicular access to East Quay and Peel Promenade via:

  1. Station Place
  2. St Peters Lane
  3. Crown Street (East Quay)
  4. Crown Street (Promenade)
  5. Factory Lane
  6. Market Street
  7. Queen Street
  8. Bridge Street
  9. Stanley Road
  10. Walpole Road

Prohibition of Parking

  • Church Street - on both sides for its entire length.
  • Bridge Street - on the western side between the boundaries of Atholl Place and Stanley Mount.
  • Stanley Mount - on both sides between its junction with Bridge Street and Cross Street.
  • Peveril Road - on both sides between its junction with Christian Street and its junction with the Ramsey Road including the parking spaces outside Gayles Fayre.

One-way Restrictions & Suspensions

  • Stanley Road - between its junction with Peveril Road and its junction with Cross Street - suspension of existing one way system.
  • Walpole Road - between its junction with Peveril Road and its junction with Marine Parade - suspension of existing one way system.

Alternative Parking

Alternative parking is available on the Headlands Field, with a free shuttle bus from there to Marine Parade and parking attendants to assist.

Disabled parking is available on the harbour park (before Fenella Beach car park).

Please bear in mind that this is subject to change in the lead up to the event, so be sure to check the above link or our socials to keep up-to-date on what’s happening.

How to Enter Parade

  1. Sign up your entry
    • Sign up online in advance
      • Sign up to our parade in advance with our online form.
      • Simply head to our entry form here and fill in your details and submit to secure your spot in the parade.
      • On the day, please make your way to the Online Desk outside The House of Mannanan to pick up your participant number before 1pm judging.
    • Sign up on the day
      • Head to the Sign-in Desks Located at The House of Manannan from 12.00pm onwards.
      • Fill out the parade entry form.
      • Receive your participant number.
  2. Prepare your entry
    • Make sure your entries are ready and make any last adjustments.
    • Line up at the designated parade category section for judging and the parade.
    • Receive your participant number.
  3. Judging information
    • Judging starts at 1pm.
  4. Parade time!
    • Once 2.00pm hits, Get ready to march and have fun!

Where to park?

Thanks to Peel Town Commissioners we have full access to the Headlands Field site. The gates will be open for parking from 10am on carnival day. Parking attendants will be on site to assist.

Follow the arrows leading you up to the Headlands Field, off Peveril Road to the left. As if you were heading to Kirk Michael via the coastal road. From here you can easily walk down to the festivities or hop on our shuttle bus that will be available throughout the day to drop you closer to our event.

Disabled parking can be found at the Harbour car park, this is located just before Fenella Beach car park.
